The Vision
I built Alkebulan because I lived the problem. Growing up in Burkina Faso, I saw how digital services that people in other continents take for granted — online shopping, fast delivery, digital banking, telemedicine — were either nonexistent or fragmented across dozens of incompatible platforms.
Africa doesn't need another e-commerce app or another payment gateway. It needs what Asia got with WeChat, Grab, and Gojek — a SuperApp that integrates everything into one seamless experience. But built for African realities: multiple currencies, diverse languages, varying infrastructure quality, and 54 regulatory environments.
So I built it. Every API endpoint. Every mobile screen. Every database table. Every AI module. Not because I wanted to do it alone, but because I wanted to prove it could be done. That one person, with the right architecture (SDUI, monorepo, shared packages), can build what most companies need 50 engineers to attempt.
The technology is built. Now I need capital and a team to bring it to 1.4 billion people. That's what this pre-seed round is about.
Technical Execution
Full-stack architect with deep expertise in distributed systems, fintech infrastructure, and multi-market platforms
Full-Stack Architecture
Designed and built the entire system: Next.js 16 backend with Express + Socket.IO, 3 Expo/React Native mobile apps, standalone AI service (Fastify), realtime service, and 12 shared TypeScript packages in one monorepo.
Proprietary AI (Yennenga)
Created a custom neural network from scratch — DQN with attention mechanisms, 10 cognitive subsystems including memory, reasoning, conscience, auto-learning, and self-study. Named after the Mossi warrior princess of Burkina Faso.
Financial Infrastructure
Built BulanPay from the ground up: 12 security modules (fraud engine, KYC, OTP, SAR reporting), BNPL engine, investment products, savings goals, credit scoring — all integrated with the marketplace and delivery network.
Solo Founder Advantage
7 Apps, 1 Architect
Complete ownership of the codebase means zero technical debt, zero knowledge silos, and instant decision-making. When I see a bug or an opportunity, the fix ships the same day.
Architectural Consistency
Because one person designed every layer — from the database schema to the mobile UI — everything integrates seamlessly. No bolted-on features, no integration nightmares, no competing technical visions.
Speed of Execution
92 API endpoints, 139 mobile screens, 737 tests, 37 database modules. Built by one person. That's not just engineering skill — it's proof that the right architecture (SDUI, shared packages, monorepo) enables exponential productivity.
Deep System Knowledge
I can debug any issue across any layer in minutes because I built every component. That knowledge doesn't exist in documentation — it exists in muscle memory.
Background
Born and raised in Burkina Faso, I've experienced the digital divide firsthand. Not as an abstract concept, but as daily reality: wanting to order something online and having no platform that delivers outside the capital. Needing to see a specialist and having no telemedicine option. Trying to send money to a relative in another country and navigating three different apps with outrageous fees.
As a software engineer, I've built systems that serve millions. I understand what production-grade infrastructure looks like. And I've seen the enormous gap between what exists in Africa and what's possible.
Alkebulan is not a startup experiment. It's a deeply personal mission. I'm building the digital infrastructure I wished existed when I was growing up — and that 1.4 billion Africans need today.
This is my life's work. Every line of code proves it.
Let's Build This Together
I'm looking for investors who share the vision of a connected Africa. Whether you want to join the pre-seed round or explore partnership opportunities, let's talk.
